Sometimes all it takes is a little conversation to take a racial or cultural misunderstanding to a level of understanding; but many people either don’t know how or are uncomfortable about how to start the conversation. Consequently a lot of teachable moments, that could resolve hurt feelings over diversity issues, are lost.
The “Beyond Tolerance - Diversity Communication” workshop is based on the award-winning documentary by the same name. It presents real people talking about how they were able to go beyond tolerating insensitive statements, by a simple path of non-confrontational conversation.
The interactive workshop helps participants master these communication techniques.
Ramona Logan has presented the “Beyond Tolerance” workshop to educators, professional, companies, and non-profit organizations. The program has received the following awards:
